Weight Hanging Clips (Pkg/4)
Product Description
For some special braids on the KumiLoom or other Kumihimo disks, it helps to add weight to the center strand. The best way to do this is to use these clips!
We considered many styles before finding just the right clip! We finally found these, with the qualities we consider important: metal (not plastic) construction; strong clip strength; soft edges so the cord (or your fingers) will not be damaged; a nonslip grip for easy handling; and a way to easily attach the weight.
These are the answer! About 2 inches long, they easily and quickly clip on to your finished braid as it comes through the center hole. They have holes in the bottom of the handle so you can insert a cord or metal ring (see our pewter gourd we use as a weight in the picture below!), or you can just put a bag closing string through the clip end and fill the bag with weights as you see fit.
The hole in the handle is normally covered by the nonslip coating (see the picture above), and is easily "poked" through with a toothpick or similar instrument when you need a hole to thread a cord or metal ring (yet it still stays smooth to the touch).
