When you are finished with your beautiful KumiHimo necklace, you need to put a clasp on the ends so you can wear it! Here is a package of two complete sets (enough for two necklaces) of end caps and a clasp, ready to mount.

These end caps are sized for 4mm (3/16 inch), 6mm (1/4 inch) or 8mm (3/8 inch) inch braids. Use a few drops of Elfy Super Glue (the one we include in our big kit), Gem Tac, E6000, or other glue that will bind your cord to metal, insert the prepared end of the braid, let it dry, and you are ready. The clasp is already attached to the end caps.

To prepare the braid end, you need to tie them off with strong beading or other heavy duty thread. Loop the thread as pictured below, wrap one end around several times and tie it to the first end using several knots. Snip the protruding braid cords, and cut off the excess binding thread. The clasps come complete with a set of illustrated instructions:

We have three closures (screw-together barrel clasp for a sure connection, a powerful magnetic clasp for great convenience and a strong connection, or a lobster clasp for lightweight on the 4mm endcaps), three sizes (three diameters of end caps, 4mm-3/16 inch), 6mm-1/4 inch, or 8mm-3/8 inch), and two finishes (silver-plated or toned or gold-plated or toned, metal varies). There are cylinder-style caps (4mm and 6mm) and tulip-style (8mm) caps. Examples are pictured below, your choice. Styles may vary somewhat.

Remember, you are getting two sets of clasps in each package, enough to finish two necklaces.
