Brass Vernier Caliper w/Gem Plate

This is a solid brass, professional vernier caliper for measuring the outer diameter of beads, cords, wires, etc. Brass construction, measures up to 4 inches or 100mm. With the vernier scale the precision is 0.1mm.
What makes this special, though, is the gem plate that sits right under the edge of the scale between the jaws and holds the bead. How many times have you struggled to keep the bead from falling out of the jaws then measuring it? This solves that problem.
